Bonfire Glade

I am back in Tulsa, and therefore have my desktop back and can format photos.

Took this particular shot a couple weeks ago. IF you didn't know, TU's official colors are Gold, Blue, and Hurricane Red. Has something to do with hurricane flags.

Anyway, as you can see, these are flowers planted in a creative way. And they are on a rise so you can see this from the road.

Oh and if you were wondering about the title. On homecoming, there is a large bonfire lit where those flowers are.

BAMF

So, how is your day going? I actually wrote this post way back on the 27th. I am kind of out of things to write about at this point. Of the flower pictures I have done up to this point, this is the only one I actually did some serious editing to. Nothing was really done to the flower itself, but you can probably guess at what editing occurred to everything else.

The Cliche Shot

You know, cliches exist for a reason. Its because they are classic, they are good. I mean look at this shot, you cannot deny that there is nothing special about the setup, but it is still a gorgeous photo.

Because I can.

I stand out

Day 3

I have had people tell me I should try selling my photos or doing freelance work of some sort. It is an interesting thought. I do however need to give a copy of that fountain picture to someone here at TU. I will do it for free too so long as it gets posted somewhere outside of the art school where people get to see it.

Now then everyone, I want you to spend the rest of the day like the center tulip, outshine everyone!

Remember, F11 switches to full screen mode so you can enjoy my photography better.

Shades of Tulips

You see, I wasn't kidding, its 2:20 and there is a new post up. Believe me now?

I don't know about you, but I think these bright and happy pictures improve my day whenever I see them. This one in particular, I think it belongs in the default desktop background selections of Windows and/or Macs.

That's enough talking for today.

The Neon Rose

Alright Punks and Punkesses! I am starting out with an announcement. at 2:20pm every day until next Tuesday there will be a new post up.

Why you ask? It is because as I was looking over my shots from the past couple weeks I noticed that I had missed some really exceptional photos and I want to show them sooner rather than later. I felt that if I posted all of them at once they wouldn't get the attention the rightfully deserve. Therefore, you will get a flower related picture every day for a week.

An interesting fact about this photo is that there is absolutely no post processing. This picture is exactly how I took it with nothing done to it on the computer.

This rose is just naturally that unnaturally bright.

Thank you, that is all.

ROSES!

You know, I really do like that park, everytime I go back there are different things blooming. As you can see, the roses are now blooming. I like roses, therefore you are going to get your fill of them this week. If you only check this page on Tuesdays, then check back a couple other times this week as I post some more shots from the Woodward Park Rose garden.

I may also talk more then, so in the mean time I give you pretty pictures.

I see part of a spiderweb in this one!

Le Bridge

I know French! "Le" means "The" in France. Or so I have heard.

I know I know, you guys (All two of you) are probably getting tired of seeing pictures of flowers and wanting me to post something different. So I will stop posting pictures of flowers*.

This shot was taken today actually. I took it at this park here in Tulsa called Woodward Park. I really like this park, it is small but there are a lot of things in it. Plus a lot of people go there. Around this time of year it becomes even more popular because all the bushes that are in the park are a kind of flowering bush called Azalea. What this means is every photographer, professional, hobbiest, or parent comes out of the woodworks to come here. Or there are your normal people who just like going there because it is nice. However azaleas have kind of a bad smell.....But hey, they are pretty as you are about to see.

Ah yes, if you like this bridge and other random bits of architecture, you should check out my occasional partner [read as: "minion"] in crime Jeremy Jewell Photography. He lives in the O.C. where he apparently works. I personally doubt this heavily. I mean we have all seen the commercials with Schwarzenegger and other random Californians saying they don't actually work.

Out Like a Lamb

I woulda/coulda posted this last week, but then I might have jinxed it and sent Oklahoma in to another blizzard. But I can safely say now that March went ahead and went out like a lamb.

Baaaaaaaaa

Not much to say about this picture. Took it a couple weeks ago, and as I believe I have said before, certain things are just too adorable, such as a new lamb.

Out like a lamb

And as a way to distract you from the fact that this is going up on a Wednesday, be distracted by pretty flowers.

Spring flowers (I hope)

As a celebration of the first warm day here in Tulsa I give you a fresh shot of some fresh Spring flowers!

Well, actually, I have no idea what kind of flowers these are, they look sorta like tulips. So I am really hoping that these are flowers that grow during the spring and summer and are not something like the pansy which is a winter flower.

I like this photo because I feel they are fighting to bring Spring even though it is still a bit cool and overcast outside.

The actual first warm day here was last Sunday apparently, but I did not get to enjoy it, therefore it does not count and does not exist. In fact, I am going to forget Sunday existed at all since I was stuck in a van for 9 hours, 43 minutes, and 26 seconds, with only two stops. though let us hear it for Dr. Hudson, i have no idea how that man could drive to San Antonio and back with no music all by himself. And when we were going down there, it was in complete silence for 6 hours as everyone was asleep.

I think he is a robot.
