I am free! I am now done with the project involving people. My thoughts on the matter are primarily woohoo. I still love taking pictures of people and they are still my favorite type of picture to look at. However it is certainly more work than I want to deal with at this time to coordinate schedules with a model.
I am not really sure what the class thought about my photos to be honest. I think the professor like them. And he talked about Freud a lot, so I am guess I did something a psychologist would like.
While in class today I had a lot of time to think (Two and thirty-five minutes!) And I came to one conclusion about life.....
THANK GOODNESS I AM A BUSINESS STUDENT!!!
Oh yeah, her's a photo from my project

Well you're clearly not an English major! HAH, just kidding Hew.
ReplyDeleteSeriously though, I like the conversion you did here. Did you add the grain effect yourself or was that in the conversion or what? Did you use available light or a flash?
I am an accountant, I deal with numbers, not these "words" things.
ReplyDeleteFunny thing about that grain effect. But first, I used the available light and not the flash. You can take good pictures of people with the flash, but I do not really know how you do it. It has a lot to do with shooting when it is light already.
But as for the grain effect that is really none of the above. As far as I can tell, it is the result of the noise being converted to black and white. They had trouble staying still for even 1/500th of a second so I had to raise the iso up quite a bit to speed up the shutter but not change the aperture or any of my other settings. So, it probably created a lot of noise that was then desaturated and caused this grain effect. I do not believe the conversion actually added grain because I used a filter that should not have added any.
